UA Homecoming...........

I took my family and some friends down to the Alabama Homecoming game today.
For Logan, his first Bama game.
A Birthday present courtesy of Taylor.
It was a beautiful drive through the forest, with the leaves changing.
Michael, Blake M.and I got to meet Barry Krauss!
I don't think they really knew who he was, but I did.
Anybody remember the
"Goal Line Stand"?? #77?

And yes, LCHS '06 graduate Chris Pugh got to dress out with the team!!
They should have put him, he would have caught some of those dropped passes.

We got our 5 dollars worth............

at the LCHS vs Hamilton game. We ran it one way awhile, and they ran it the other way awhile, Hamilton ran it in the endzone more than we did and won the game 34-21.
The wind blew.
And the LCHS Band put on a great halftime show "in costume".
It was an entertaining night.
But we did miss our 'chicken on a stick'.

A Wedding and a Volleyball Match.......

I spent Saturday afternoon photographing the outdoor wedding of Danielle Helms and Johnny Strickland.

The weather was perfect.

Then it was on to the Finals at the LC County T.

LCHS defeated ELHS in the final match to claim the championship.

I heard that I missed and "intense" match between ELHS and Hatton

that put ELHS into the finals.

Congratulations to both teams, and to the newlyweds!!!

LCHS and ELHS JV, JH, and Varsity played today.

I left the tournament for a little while to photograph the
Speake Bobcats Midgets this evening.

AND Catching up alittle....
I did make it to the Jesse Owens Classic Saturday morning to see the LCHS XC teams, and spent Saturday evening with the Austin High School Class of 1986 at their class reunion at the Decatur Country Club.

I didn't get invited to the wedding either!!!!

Story is: They went to the courthouse to buy tags, Miles picked the shortest line, when they got to the desk the lady told them, "Sorry sir, but this is where you get a marriage license, not car license".
Miles looked at Toni. She fluttered her eyes.
Miles told the lady, "Ma'am, we take one of those marriage licenses".
He looked down at Toni.
and the he added " and where might we find the judge today"?
AND THEY WERE HITCHED!!!

Just Kidding!!!!
But they did keep it low key.
I was honored to do "Wedding Portraits" for Mr. Miles and Toni Hooper

Best Wishes,
Greg
