A lovely evening photographing a lovely family........

I spent the evening with the Jones family and their kids and grandkids, and the cows and the dogs. It was a lovely evening.
And the horse "raised it's tail" while being photographed. Pictures not included.

As far back as I can remember..............

 I've had my friend who shared my first name, Greg Alexander. Today it was a wonderful honor to photograph the wedding of his beautiful daughter Ashleigh, at the Rhea-McEntire house on the banks of the Tennessee River in Decatur. Good luck and God Bless Mr and Mrs John Garrison.

LCHS Prom 2013..............

What a great night at the LCHS prom.  I had to step back and wipe tears from my eyes when they elected J.R. and Elizabeth Prom King and Queen. This is a great LCHS Senior class; with a great big heart. Enjoy your night. It's been a joy to work with you all.

After taking care of LCHS Yearbook makeup pictures this morning, I went back up to the school and had a good time photographing the LCHS Lady Devils Varsity and Junior Varsity Softball teams. Then I caught a little action of the varsity LCHS vs Athens game.

It was a reunion for me.............

When Brother Sonny called and told me all the kids were home and asked if I could come over and take pictures today, I knew the calender was booked full, but I couldn't say no. And I'm glad I didn't.  It was such a joy to see Sonny and Martha and their kids, Greg, Gina, Jill and Wendy again. Greg and his family came home all the way from Arizona, Jill just recently moved back home from California; I grew up with this family and love them very much.

So, for the last shot, I set the camera on timer and jumped in there with them.

Last day of Easter Portraits went well........

My little cousins Hadley and her brand new 5 days old sister Hunter came out for portraits with Millie the lamb.  Ain't they sweet.

Candace brought her little boy Aaden out. And he loved the ducks and gave Millie a big hug.

My most famous client..............

I got to attend the fund-raiser for my most beautiful and famous client tonight. Miss Rodeo USA, Lauren Terry. I took my 11x14 portrait, the one that I intend to frame and hang in the studio, and got her to autograph it for me.

I've never shot a football game in the snow......

until tonight. I made it out to a half of the LCHS vs ELHS Alumni Football game. Good to see alot of the guys back in my viewfinder having a good time. They shook my hand and I asked "how you doing", and they replied, "good, but I'm pretty tired right now".

Snowflake Pageant........

It was a perfect night for the Speake Snowflake pageant, because snowflakes did fall the whole time the pageant was going on. 94 pretty young ladies were in the pageant. Here are just a few of the portraits taken.
I got my picture made with the Reese, the daughter of my lifetime friend John David (who had to work last night). She had just won her division and came in beaming with that great big smile you see there.
My favorite memory of the night came when we photographed Miss Adair, (#89 in orange dress middle left of composite), she was elated, and said, "Eight years and eight trys and I finally won."
I said, "well persistance pays off does'nt it."
And she rolled her pretty eyes up high and proclaimed, "YES. It does."

In Memory of Mr. Beavers.......

I met Mr. Beavers when I became the photographer for Speake School a few years ago. He was such a nice man and will be missed by so many who's life he touched.
 I would always get  a little smile from Mr Beavers when he sat for his portrait, then he would leave me with a big smile.

The expecting Abbotts.......

I had a really great session this afternoon with Jason and Rochelle. Who are alittle over halfway to the arrival of thier first child. 
After the session they sped off in thier Mustang in search of Rochelle some potato wedges.

It took patience, persistance, and determination; but we got ALL the
LCHS RED HOTS together for yearbook portraits. And no doubt; it will be the most viewed page in the yearbook. Great job ladies! You Rock!

i spent the late evening hours, out of the cold blustery wind, inside the warm and cozy Lang's Latte Cafe, enjoying a latte with my daughter,  listening to Captain Captain Cutie Pie.........and I loved it.
