I met Mr. Beavers when I became the photographer for Speake School a few years ago. He was such a nice man and will be missed by so many who's life he touched.
 I would always get  a little smile from Mr Beavers when he sat for his portrait, then he would leave me with a big smile.

I had a really great session this afternoon with Jason and Rochelle. Who are alittle over halfway to the arrival of thier first child. 
After the session they sped off in thier Mustang in search of Rochelle some potato wedges.

Got a lesson in cotton picking today............

and had a really great time shooting LCHS Senior/Cotton Farmer, Will Cottinghams senior portraits this afternoon. Will is all about cotton,he told me one bale of cotton would produce 2000 pair of bluejeans. (That's enough last me two lifetimes). Cotton prices are down this year, 80 cents a pound, (he blamed it on China), but as we looked out over the beautiful white fields, I could see that he was seeing one thing, green, (money). It was good to see a Senior who knew what he wanted to do, and was very educated in what he wanted to do. Good luck Will.
And, it was pretty cool to ride in a brand new quater of a million dollar John Deere cotton picker.

Cross Country State Race......

LCHS Boys finish State Runner-up, and the LCHS Girls finished 6th. Good job runners. It was a beautiful day for the race.

Wet and muddy Jesse Owens 2012 Race..........

The LCHS boys split up and ran in both the Gold and SIlver division races, and
The LC girls weren't hardly ready for the starting pistol in their race, but they came back and ran hard through the cold rain that fell during their race.

LC vs Hatton 2012........

I don't remember ever shooting a LCHS vs Hatton game this tight. It all came down to one play, in overtime, and LCHS won the game 7-0. Great fan support on both sides!

showed up today at Speake School's yearbook shoot. LCHS Graduates Molly, who was teaching, and Clay, doing his internship, surprised me by sitting down in front of the camera. It seems like just yesterday they were at LCHS. It's always a joy to see my little friends at Speake School.

It was nice to see them this afternoon at their 50th wedding anniversary reception, along with thier children Greg, Nicole and Alisha, and all their families and alot of friends. Congratulations Floyd and Peggy!

The LCHS Cross Country teams took off on their 2012 season this morning, hosting the Pepsi Challenge at LCHS, and boy was it humid! Good Luck LCHS runners, have a great season.

LCHS vs ELHS 2012..........

It's just always great to start a new football season; to smell the popcorn and wet grass, to feel the beat of the drums, to see the stands packed out, to see the pretty dancers and cheerleaders.To see what used to be boys, I photographed as little mini-midgets, all strong young men now, playing their senior football season.
It was a great game tonight; the Devils holding on far a hard fought 13-12 victory over the Eagles.
We were all excited, vocal, and sweating in the humidity. The little bit of cool rain felt good.
It was perfect........ football in the south.
Like I said, its just always great to start a new football season.
