LCHS vs ELHS 2012..........

It's just always great to start a new football season; to smell the popcorn and wet grass, to feel the beat of the drums, to see the stands packed out, to see the pretty dancers and cheerleaders.To see what used to be boys, I photographed as little mini-midgets, all strong young men now, playing their senior football season.
It was a great game tonight; the Devils holding on far a hard fought 13-12 victory over the Eagles.
We were all excited, vocal, and sweating in the humidity. The little bit of cool rain felt good.
It was perfect........ football in the south.
Like I said, its just always great to start a new football season.

Chase came in Friday evening and LCHS Football Seniors, Gabe, Keith, Jonathan and Lee came in this morning, and I finished up with a lovely portrait of my neighbor down the road Kaitlin.

In Memory of Ms Emma Blankenship........

She had one of those smiles that just stopped you in your tracks; and you caught yourself smiling back at her. A smile like that.....you can never forget.

I took Emma's portrait on Aug 10th, 2005.  We lost her today Aug 9th, 2012.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ricky and Angie and all Emma's family.
 Psalms 34:18, “The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.”

12 years of Senior Portraits; I can do hair......

My neighbor Maggie wasn't really sure about me fixing her hair, but I think I did allright.
Also in this week were, Meredith, Blake, Grace, Tanner, Jacob, Clark (with his thumbs up), Devin, Blake, Austin, Jontez, Adrian, and Clark again.

LCHS Football 2012....

LCHS Football portraits are off to the printer this week for the program for the 2012 season. Included this year is a new shot with the Senior Football players and thier biggest fan, their mom. Good Luck Devils and I wish each Senior a memorable year. GO BIG RED!

My all time favorite comment by a Senior....

                    

LCHS Senior Haley, her mom, her sister (LCHS Senior '10 Brittany), and myself were all gathered around the monitor, Haley had narrowed down her portrait selection to 3 portraits. I pulled each one up on the screen side by side and said, "Ok, we gotta pick your favorite for the yearbook". She slapped her knees in excitment and said, "I don't know!!! I look good in all of them"!
Her excitment just tickled me death. Haley, I wish you great and memorable senior year.

I actually didn't resist to much, (I wasn't a "dragger").  I had so much fun working with LCHS Senior Kaitlin on her senior portraits this evening. Wishing you a great senior year Kaitlin.

My little friend is getting married.........

We made friends right of the bat. I met Cyndel for the first time when she brought her 4 wheeler out here for her senior portraits and she SCARED me to death on that thing, jumping, flying through the blue sky and riding on two wheels! Now we work together and go to school together sometimes.
Cyndel and Anthony will be getting married in Nov. and I wish them the very best. We had a great time this afternoon doing engagement pictures. It was hot too!

What a great Friday...............

I got to see Captain Captain Cutie Pie, live, on the Square in Moulton. I got to shoot a few innings of the LCHS Lady Devils Area Championship victory, and then, perform on stage at the Relay for Life with my bands Southern Comfort, and The Red Hill Blues Band.
Life is good.
