Speake Schoolday...............

Oh me, I had forgot the Joy/Challenges of working with Kindergardeners!!! But aint they cute!!!! I photographed all 8 grades and did class pictures at Speake School today. I ran into an old LCHS graduate (well, she's not old), Whitney. And a big thanks to my two 8th grade annual staff helpers Anna, and Anna. (bottom right). I had no trouble remembering their names, I just said, "Hey Anna", and they both said, "Sir"? Thank you so much girls. And I'm proud now to be the school photographer for Speake School.

I am now sure, I love Phi Mu..............

It was such a joy to be a part of the joy and excitement of Bid Day on the campus of UNA, covering Taylor's Phi Mu sorority. The Rush is over, and I think they're all exhausted.

Shoot.... dad gummit............

If the Red Devils had only 5 more seconds on the clock, Nolan would have kicked a field goal and we would have won 9-7, but it didn't happen that way, the clock ran out. It was great to see the stadium full and all the Screamin' Demons painted up and cheering the boys on.

This weeks 2010 Seniors........

Top left is Haley, and I graduated with her mom Patrica, her mom told her it was 5 or so years ago, and I winked at Haley and said, "she never was good at math". Then theres Morgan, her mom asked me "have you ever seen a more beautiful red head"? and I said, "no, I don't reckon I have". Then theres Tiffany, Kaleb, Savannah and Jessica. All enjoying thier senior year at LCHS.

Phi Mu................

I had a wonderful time this evening photographing Taylor's sorority, Phi Mu, on the lovely campus of UNA.What a wonderful group of young ladies! And such a pleasure to work with.

Brooks Invitaional............

The LCHS Cross Country runners took off on thier 2009 season this morning at McFarland Park in Florence. Michael led the LCHS Varsity boys with a time of 18:10 (6th overall), Ari led the Varsity girls, (4th overall) and Freddie and Victoria WON the JV races.

The JV Boys won 1st in thier class. Good job all of you!!

I'm going to have to work with the JV boys on their trophy poses, maybe sit the trophy on the ground.

so did the Red Devils season opener, BUT the FIRE is there, wins will come.
They held #72 like that all night, but the officials didn't see it???

JV Volleyball action.............

The LCHS JV Volleyball team were hosting a tournament at LCHS today. I was able to catch one game and these young Devils played great. Good Luck ladies.

Field goals, (you know what I meant). It was great to see the LCHS Red Devils look so good tonight! Defeating Hayden 35-14 in the jamboree game. It was great to see two become as ONE, and play with passion. GO BIG RED!

In Memory of Blake Copeland.....

It's so sad to learn of the tragic news and loss of such a fine young man. I had the opportunity to meet and work with Blake for his '05 Senior Portraits.My heart goes out to Diana (we graduated together) and Glenn, May God strenghten you and give you peace.

Red Hot Picture Day....

Well, we picked the hottest day of the year to photograph the 2009 LCHS Red Devil football team and cheerleaders. Thanks so much to Amy Sterling for helping me! She shot the cheerleaders while I shot the football team. We photographed 46 players, 20 cheerleaders, all the groups and the team portrait in 1 hr and 15 minutes, I think thats a new WORLD RECORD!!!

Can you tell you had the "funniest" bunch to work with???

I had 8 more great sessions this week with these LCHS Seniors. Let's see, we'll go across the top from left to right, that's Olivia, Landon, Hannah, and Landons twin brother Austin. Bottom row there's Bryan, Christina, John Thomas (J.T) and Samantha. I graduated with Bryan's dad and J.T.'s mom, just a few years ago.

A Great Week..............

I'll admit, I was worried about Forrest and Dez; but they came prepared and gave me no trouble, nailed thier portraits on the first shot!

It was fun to do portraits for these two, (my neighbors) LCHS Senior Jake, and his mom, Rhonda, who graduates from nursing school this year. Gradulations to you both!!!! I'm proud of ya'll, I hope you know that.

Music in the Park......

I really enjoyed Highway 33 tonight at the Music in the Park in Moulton. They are my favorite young band not just because I went to school with all thier Mommas and Pappas, but because they are continuing to improve each time I hear them. Good job guys, and Jessica. Keep rockin'

My first senior sessions were with LCHS seniors Chris, Autumn, Jud, Brooke and Cody.
Jud's mom asked me if it was ok if she got emotional. I said "it happens here all the time".

Music on the Square...........

Caught some of the smooth sounds of Judge and Jury on the square tonight. The weather wasn't so hot this week.
I did run into Lindsey, Dr. Ryhne's daughter, who was visting with her family from New York. I hadn't seen her in 25 yrs.
