LCHS Boys XC Team: State Runner Up..........

Well, if you can see the scorecard, you can see that USM Wright put 6 runners in the top 10. That's pretty hard to beat. Congratulations to the LCHS Boys XC team who finished 2nd in the Great State of Alabama. My hat is off to CJ who sucked it up and finished the race 23rd. (when anybody else would have quit).
And congratulations to Ari and Samantha who finished in the top 15 of the girls race; giving LCHS 3rd place in the State girls.
In the composite Michael is showing off the Runner-up trophy to RJ, who got to attend the race. We hope RJ keeps getting better. And we are very proud of the LCHS Cross Country Teams!!

We're Blessed......... and thankful.............

that all of the LCHS Cross Country team were Divinely protected when their bus was involved in a accident on Interstate 20 Friday.
The girls couldn't help but laugh through the first 100 yards of their race, because a couple of them got "a little" headstart.
But they all walked away from the Oxford race with a realization of what really matters.

AND Gradulations to the LCHS Volleyball team who advanced through the Regional tournament today at Deshler.
I couldn't be there (it's that "be 2 places at one time" thing). But they will Host somebody Thursday in the next round.
I'll admit, I have no idea what round it is. They changed it up this year. But either way, GO BIG RED.

LCHS Homecoming...................

I enjoyed a beautiful day Friday photographing all the lovely ladies of the LCHS Homecoming Court, and the "Juniorless" parade.
Friday night Mr. Lang crowned Kaylyn Homecoming Queen.
I have been to 9 Homecomings in a row now; and I believe she is the prettiest ever.

New and a redo; and my little cousin............

LCHS Seniors '09 Sammi, Kesha and Scott came in for portraits. Evan, Senior '08 came in for a portrait redo, just to make his mom happy. (and we suceeded).
Now the precious little girl (who kept her grandma and me on the run through the park) is Brianna. My grandfather Brooks, and her Great-Great Grandfather Brooks were brothers. I know they would be taken with this young lady. She is something else.....and fearless.

Sunday Family Portraits............

I really felt right at home and had a wonderful time photographing Mr. Terry's family. My old LCHS classmates, Davy and Tina, Jeremy and Denise were there. LCHS graduates that I had photographed Callie and Myles were there.
If I had worn a white shirt, I would have just got in there with them.
Greg

Be in two places at one time..............

I've always wished I could do that.
Tonight the LCHS JV football team was playing ELHS, while in the gym, the volleyball team was playing Mt. Hope.
I wish I could get a "mini me".

Remember KC and The Sunshine Band??

"Get Down, get down, get down, get down tonight Babaey"
The LCHS Beta Club's Junior Senior Affair was Saturday night and they all "got down". I don't think they call it "getting down" anymore.........but to me, it looked like they "got down" and had a great time.
Also, LCHS Srs Cole and Alexandra came in for portraits.

I should have wrote it down...............

I made a mental note-I think I did "Jakob has the sideburns, Jordan went first". But I didn't write it down and now I'm not sure if that's right; and I can't tell which is which.
Surely their momma can tell. I do know, that's Danielle on the left, and they're all LCHS Seniors 2009!
Greg

SOMEBODY told me they were in Priceville......BUT,

I found the LCHS JV Football team at West Morgan. (just like I thought). Where I got some great shots of the Red Devils in action. I even had my friend and ELHS principle Mr. Nichols and his wife Becky posing for me in the stands. (I think he was sitting on a nail).

Still looking great..........

since we graduated at LCHS a few years ago. That's my classmate Tammy, (top left) and her daugthers Andrea and Erin. Tammy brought her sisters and their families and her mom and dad out for portraits Saturday. Except for Mark, who opted to go to the Alabama game; I don't know if he will ever live that down. BUT, the Crimson Tide did so well, maybe ya'll should send him to all the games! Thanks to the Hicks Family for coming out for portraits.

ELHS Senior..............Summer............

Summer's mom helped me with hair and makeup, Summer's brother Richard brought over the forgotten pom poms. Then he stayed and got in for a great brother, sister shot. And Summer's dad fussed the whole time about how short the new skirts were. (and the bloomers, he's concerned about the bloomers). We all had a great time, while I took shots for Summer's senior cheerleading composite. Stay tuned, I'll show it off when it's finished.

More of the LCHS Class of '09...............

Carpe Diem.................

.... means "seize the day". Friends and family took the day to wish Russ well, good luck and say "so long" for a little while; he heads out to Parris Island August 25th for Marine Corp basic training. We also took the opportunity for a new family portrait of the Langs.
Good Luck Russ, God Bless.
