ELHS Beauty Walk..........

The ELHS Annual Staff's Winter Beauty Walk was tonight.
They picked a good cold night for it.
Here they all are, with the Senior Division winners.
Ms. ELHS Lakendra Wright was crowned queen.

Freeze to death, or she would scare me death.......

I didn't know which would come first.
LCHS Senior '07 Devon and I braved the cold weather today and got some great shots of her riding, jumping, sliding and stirring up dust!
I think she was showing out.
Whatever it was, she's good at it.

Thanks Devon for a fun session.

The last day of November already!!!

I started first thing this morning with the LCHS JROTC cadets. I took portraits of the Companys, Drill Teams (a favorite is the rifle team) individuals and as always, some fun "friends" shots.
After school part of the ELHS annual staff came out for yearbook portraits.
We can't all get together at the same time.
Alex will have to explain why she got to use the column.
Thanks Leah for your help.

And my favorite shot of the day is of my son; in action
at tonight's LCHS JV basketball game.

It was just a Dang ol' Heartbreaker.......

After driving down the field, converting on a crucial 4th and 2 at the ten yard line, ELHS Senior
Lucas Terry scored a touchdown, giving the Eagles a 14-8 lead......it was storybook.
But there was a minute left in the game; which gave Hatton time to score, kick the extra point and win the game 15-14.

Dadgummit.

Greg

Thursday, November 02, 2006

Brrrrr.......it was a cold night......

I took my family and some friends down to the Alabama Homecoming game today.
For Logan, his first Bama game.
A Birthday present courtesy of Taylor.
It was a beautiful drive through the forest, with the leaves changing.
Michael, Blake M.and I got to meet Barry Krauss!
I don't think they really knew who he was, but I did.
Anybody remember the
"Goal Line Stand"?? #77?

They should have put him, he would have caught some of those dropped passes.

We got our 5 dollars worth............

at the LCHS vs Hamilton game. We ran it one way awhile, and they ran it the other way awhile, Hamilton ran it in the endzone more than we did and won the game 34-21.
The wind blew.
And the LCHS Band put on a great halftime show "in costume".
It was an entertaining night.
But we did miss our 'chicken on a stick'.

The weather was perfect.

Then it was on to the Finals at the LC County T.

LCHS defeated ELHS in the final match to claim the championship.

I heard that I missed and "intense" match between ELHS and Hatton

that put ELHS into the finals.

Congratulations to both teams, and to the newlyweds!!!
