Hee Haw

If you missed the Hee Haw Variety Show, a Fundraiser for the
American Cancer Society, sponsored by Century 21, YOU MISSED A GREAT SHOW.

My straw hat is off to Cody Terry, who made my hair stand up as he sang a song I used to hear his grandfather, G.H. sing when I was a kid.
"Oh What A Savior".
I laughed out loud as my old high school friend Scott Jones did his rendition of "Rindercella"
Nicole, your awesome.
To the whole cast and every performer.
YOU DID A GREAT JOB.
Lots of FUN.

YA'LL DON'T FORGET THE "RELAY FOR LIFE" MAY 12th.
At the LCHS Stadium.

2 Blog Fans.........

Ranger and Lafarge.
?????????????????
But I know them as Lyndsey and Kassie.
Lyndsey, made famous in her role has the shrieking bird in the off-broadway play
"Snow White and the Seven Dorks"
And Kassie with a K, not C, K.
I think that is so KOOL.
Thank you 2 for being fans of the blog.

Back From the BIG APPLE!

We had a wonderful time on the Worldstrides tour with Mrs. Spangler.

A BIG thank you to our real "New Yorker" tour guide Jean. (top right of collage). She kept us on time and steppin' at a NY pace the whole 3 days. We hope we talked her into coming to BAMA for some Chocolate Gravy and a ride on a inner-tube on the river. (which we do swin in).

We handled the Subway pretty well. Except for Mrs C, who took a spill, and Mrs Spangler who greeted a real New Yorker by landing in his lap.

The Donald Trump "Art of the Deal" award for negotiating with the street vendors goes to Tammi R.

I think everyones favorite, was the Broadway Play, WICKED, which was awesome. Empire State, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, The Metropolitian Museum of Art, Ground Zero, Times Square, 5th Ave, Central Park.... the list goes on and on.

Did you see us on the Today Show? We were right there with Katie, Matt and Al.

IMAGINE that.

LCHS Sr. Prom

Everyone who made it through the Guards at the Arsenal had a good time last night at the LCHS Sr. 2006 Prom.
.....................................
The guard asked me "Do you have any firearms, explosives, knives, alcoholic beverages, opened containers in your vehicle"?
I put the top on my Moutain Dew MPX
I said "No sir, the only thing I have to shoot with is a camera".
He didn't think that was funny.
They made me get out and then they saw the old rifle case that I carry lightstands in.
He asked me again, "Sir, are you sure you don't have any firearms in the vehicle"?
I remembered I had just let Sheree borrow my truck to move last week, I thought to myself "I may go down, what if she left a gun in there".
So I had to pull out my cases and let him look inside them, this seemed to please him very much. This little inspection brought the other guard over,
He asked "Is that surveying equipment sir"? I said "No sir, that's camera equipment".
This seemed to please him very much.
.....................................
Anyone else have a guard shack story?
Who went through the check with Scoggins?
I had rumors of a strip seach, but I think that was started by some of the faculty.
..................................
Hey, those guys were just doing their job. They did it well.
....................................
Everyone looked great.

Who do ya'll think will win??

To the band 6th Day........

People start blogs to voice their opinions on "whatever" is on their minds. So since this is my blog. I would like to say to the band 6th Day, who competed yesterday in the "Battle of the Bands", I thought you were the BEST band to set foot on the stage all day.
Your music was clean, and the vocals were AWESOME!.
I think you should have won.
Keep standing on the ROCK, and rockin'.

There, now I feel better.

SENIORS......GOT WALLETS?

LCHS and ELHS Seniors.
If you need more wallets for your invitations, give us a call.
We can have them ready for you in just a few days.

Quiet evening in EL

Danielle and I spent a quiet evening at East Lawrence, shooting JV Baseball,
ELHS faced Austin in a double-header. Jonathan and Ethan had back to back homeruns in the first game.

The ELHS Lady Eagles softball team was taking on Brewer on the next field.

It got so quiet one time, that I could hear Bimbo's hamburgers sizzlin'

Whew, what a day.......

This morning we took Spring and Friends Day Pictures at ELHS.
Then it was on to the golf course to photograph the LCHS and ELHS golf teams.
Danielle and I spent a quiet afternoon there as the teams played in a match with Muslce Shoals.
I never could find the blame scoreboard, so I don't know who was winning when we left.........
to head back to ELHS for the REMATCH between ELHS vs LCHS varsity baseball game.
The Eagles won again, after Tyler Stephenson hit a two run shot with the score tied 7-7.
I told everybody, "I used to play baseball with his Daddy".

The wind was blowing out........

and turned this one into a slug-fest. 6 homeruns and 9 innings and 28 runs!
ELHS won the game 15-13. Rematch tommorow at EL.
For LCHS #1 had 2 homeruns.
ELHS #27 had a homer, EL# 21 had a homer (which didn't need any help from the wind) and #23 got him two.
The first base coach didn't get to stay for the whole 9 innings. So he was able to catch up on some yardwork. I guess.
